Gulf Desert Rose began in 2023 with one simple idea, that the best of Qatar is not on the standard tourist map. It is out in the dunes near the Inland Sea, along the western coast at Dukhan, and around the northern heritage sites near Al Khor and Zubara. We built a licensed tour operation to take visitors into those places properly, with local guides who know them and the safety standards that let you enjoy them without worry.
Since then we have grown into a full desert safari and tour company, running everything from a quick half day of dune bashing to overnight desert camps, camel rides, city tours, and heritage day trips. Every route we run is one we know first hand, and every trip can be shaped around your time, your group, and how far off the beaten path you want to go.

Our trips run in a fleet made up mostly of Toyota Land Cruisers, with Nissan vehicles in support, all maintained to meet Qatar Tourism's requirements for desert safari and guest safety.
Before every dune session the tyres are deflated to the right pressure for soft sand, and the driving stays controlled the whole way, which is what keeps dune bashing thrilling without being reckless.
Each vehicle carries unlimited water for the whole group, so nobody runs short out on the dunes, whatever the season.
