A camel safari is the gentle, old-fashioned way to see Qatar's dunes. Instead of the rush of dune bashing, you ride at the pace camels have always moved, high enough to see the sand roll out around you, slow enough to actually take it in. A local guide leads the trek, keeps the ride easy and safe, and shares the part camels have played in Qatari life for generations.
It is one of the easiest desert experiences to enjoy, which makes it a favourite for families, older guests, and anyone who wants the photos and the feel of the desert without the adrenaline. A Land Cruiser takes you out and back, with pickup included from your hotel across Doha or from Hamad International for layover guests.

The camel safari runs year-round, but the cooler months from October to April are the most comfortable for a relaxed ride in the open desert. Within a day, early morning and late afternoon are the best windows, when the light is soft for photos and the heat is gentle for the camels and for you. In summer, an early start keeps the ride comfortable, and on a layover we simply run it around the time you have.
